INTERGALACTIC's SPHERE of INFLUENCE: BO KNOWS INTERGALACTIC GOLF

And BO KNOWS BASEBALL?? AND BO KNOWS FOOTBALL??
AND BO KNOWS GOLF TOO!!???!!

I am also sayin, BO KNOWS INTERGALACTIC GOLF!!!
That's For Certain!!

And you wanna know what else BO KNOWS???
BO KNOWS LUKE KOHL.....THAT's RIGHT!!!

In 1988, I was a 8 year old boy in Kansas City, Jackson was in his 3rd year as a Kansas City Royal. Bo lived in Leawood, Kansas, a spot that I frequented. This particular morning, I was eating breakfast at Hy-Vee and then started walking around the grocery store when, I spotted him. I couldn't believe it. This is AMAZING!!

I ran to the baseball card section to see if I could find a baseball for him to autograph. No baseball there, so I ran over to the sports section to look for a baseball there too. But no baseball!!!

Then I ran to the magazine section and looked for a magazine cover with his picture on it. At this time, Bo was getting a ton of front covers. No Magazine. I looked for proper Royals Paraphenelia, couldn't find any.

So I was reduced to asking him to please autograph, a piece of paper.
Which he did in the kindest of ways.

When I walked up to Bo Jackson as an 8 year old in The Leawood, Kansas Hy-Vee, I said, "Hello. Hello Mr. Jackson, my name is Luke Kohl and I am a big admirer of your ability in two sports." Indeed I was. Bo said, "Why Hello Little Man, thank you very much." I then asked Bo, "Mr. Jackson may I please have your autograph?" He responded with, "Why Surely."

Bo was who I rooted for and cheered for as a kid. I wanted to see someone fly across the air or run up fences to get the job done. Bo was baseball and football at its finest. I was certain meeting Bo Jackson, the dude I hoped would hit it out of the park, was the greatest day in my life.

Many years later, I was in Tampa Florida caddying for Walter Morgan on The Senior PGA Tour. After one round Walter Morgan and I were hanging out when Bo Jackson came out of the players locker room. Walter Morgan, whose cousin is Joe Morgan of The Cincinatti Reds, called Bo over. They talked for a little bit and then I started talking with Bo about his influence on me as a kid and the power of professional athletes and celebrities on youth.

We agreed, the impact and influence Celebrities and Professional Athletes have over humanity is profound. Its time that we take an even closer look at how we can positively use the powers of professional athletes and celebrities to inspire, empower, and influence children and all of humanity for the future.
