I don't know anyone in golf that likes to think of themselves as a "hack."
I don't like the word hack because a good golf swing, which is what we are trying to promote, fluidity, is not a hacking motion. A good golf swing is a smooth brush stroke that has even to accelerating momentum.
WE ARE NOT HACKING ANYTHING . But at least Mark is trying. He has passion and he is a really nice guy. He's very good at his job. I like his attempt to bring more people to golf through alternative means. I hope he will continue taking TAYLOR MADE TO THE NEXT LEVEL in GOLF.

THE ORIGINS of GOLF ACCORDING TO J.R. TOLKIEN in his book THE HOBBIT

For those of you who wonder where the origins of golf comes from, J.R. TOLKIEN gives an answer through Gandalf in THE HOBBIT......

At an early stage in writing The Hobbit J.R.R. Tolkien used the name "Fingolfin" for the Goblin-leader, which also contained the word "golf" for the joke about the origin of the game (although not as prominently as in "Golfimbul").^[4] Many years later, in the never-finished 1960 rewrite of the story, Tolkien intended to change the name to "Gulfimbul".^[5] John D. Rateliff speculated that this was either a further evolution of Tolkien's languages or because he was dropping the golf-joke reference^[6] (the 1960 revision was an effort to "upgrade" The Hobbit to the same epic level as The Lord of the Rings).

Bandobras also gained fame for leading the Hobbits at the Battle of Greenfields in TA 2747 when goblins from Mount Gram in the Misty Mountains invaded the Northfarthing. According to the narrative in the book The Hobbit, during the battle Bandobras charged the ranks of the goblins of Mount Gram and with a wooden club knocked the goblin chieftain Golfimbul's head clean off, sending it sailing a hundred yards through the air and down a rabbit-hole, thus (according to Tolkien's novel The Hobbit) winning the battle and inventing the game of Golf at the same time.
